EU Parliament and Council reached on 27 June a trilogue agreement on the Data Act.
The web3, blockchain and crypto industry and associations, including DCGG, have raised concerns on the potential unintended negative consequences for the developments of smart contracts. (see open letter).
DCGG stands ready to support the technical work going forward to clarify and improve the text where needed, to ensure that requirements for smart contracts are strictly confined to their use in the context of data sharing agreements.
